There has been a plethora of articles on the internet this week, and especially since the Vice Presidential debate, on what John McCain has to do in tonight's debate to regain his momentum.
Ayers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Wright, Rezko, the economy, the Surge, Afghanistan, bi-partisanship, voting record, legislative record, campaign contributions, Iraq... the list of areas where McCain can question Obama's record, his word, and his associations is too long to address in one debate.
(Please note I have not mentioned arugula, bitter clingers, or the cult of WWOD.)
John McCain was not my first choice and I seriously question whether he has what it takes to overcome Obama's momentum.
But for me, it comes down to one question:
Do you hate America, despite all the good she has done?
or
Do you love America, despite all the mistakes she has made?
Obama hates America and wants to remake it in another image. He has been short on details, but the words of his wife, his pastor and his close associates might give us some hints.
McCain loves America and wants to preserve its place in the world.
Who to choose? The question answers itself.
