A Couple Of Questions On Faith

First Question:

Why are ultra-liberals hysterical that Sarah Palin is "Right To Life" when Joe Biden is Catholic and has said that he believes that human life begins at conception?

I do not doubt Biden's faith, but I wonder if liberals assume it to be the "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" kind of faith many hold in the post-post modern era. In other words, professing to a very elastic set of beliefs.

If the argument is that Biden can personally believe anything he wants as long as he doesn't force anyone else to adhere to his beliefs, why doesn't that also pertain to Palin. I have seen no evidence that Palin has used her power in that way.

Second Question:

Why is it so hard to understand the difference between saying you know God's will and saying you pray that you are doing God's will?

To people who believe in God and pray for guidance, this is not merely nuance.

I miss the old Democratic Party I used to belong to, the one where a person's faith was not used against them and where the whole point was to make the world a place that welcomed a broad cross-section of opinion and belief.

Ahem... Biden hasn't asked his local librarian to ban any books. We would certainly know about it if he did. Don't get me started on Creationism in schools...

Both of these have been debunked.
